Zocalo Coffee House Plans Fine Art Sale to Benefit Building Futures

San Leandro, CA (December 1, 2004) - Glass artist Christopher Roscoe and Zocalo Coffee House have announced a holiday fine art sale, with proceeds to benefit local charity Building Futures with Women and Children.

The show will provide a chance to purchase one of a kind art pieces while helping women and children in need. Bring a full-sized bottle of shampoo for dry hair, and get a free raffled ticket for a chance to win original art donated by participating artists.

The recent loss of a core funding contract for Building Futures, in addition to a major fire at the agency's affordable housing site for formerly homeless women and kids, means that Building Futures is depending more than ever on help from community groups and individuals. "We are absolutely thrilled that Chris has stepped forward and organized two high profile events for us this year, and that Zocalo agreed to host the sale," says Building Futures' Executive Director, Elaine de Coligny.
