Evening at the Englander to Benefit Local Shelter

SAN LEANDRO, CA (May 9, 2002) — The Englander Pub hosts the 7th Annual Silent Art Auction Fundraiser, Art Reach 2002, on May 19th to benefit Building Futures with Women and Children (BFWC), a nonprofit serving women and children surviving homelessness and domestic violence.

Join us at the Englander Pub located at 101 Parrot Street in San Leandro on Sunday, May 19th from 5:00 pm until 8:30 pm. Tickets are currently on sale for $75 at the door and $65 in advance. Art Reach is an evening of great food, wine and beer compliments of the Englander Pub and local restaurants. Jim Franz and Friends are providing the entertainment. Art Reach in an opportunity for art enthusiasts to admire and purchase fantastic art donated by the Bay Area’s most talented artisans.

“This past year has been a challenge for BFWC’s growth, and more than ever we need support from the community. Art Reach is an opportunity for people to show their support through purchasing tickets, buying art, and making financial contributions. All donations help us sustain our award–winning programs,” said Development and Operations Director Lisa Cunningham, for Building Futures with Women and Children.

Artists from the Bay Area have donated original art pieces for the silent auction and generous businesses sponsor the event, which include: The Englander, Precision Graphics, Café Encore, San Leandro Chamber of Commerce, Hearn Construction, Thomas Lauderbach Development Consultant, Marilyn Denham Real Estate Investments, Bancroft Pediatric Medical Group, Nestlé Ice Cream Company and Earle Shenk, Realtor.
