Bessie Coleman Court, opened in March 2002, provides 52 units of transitional and permanent affordable housing for graduates of our shelters who are in need of safe, affordable housing. The project is part of a historic redevelopment of the decommissioned Alameda Naval Air Station to create housing and economic development opportunities for homeless individuals and families.

We are currently seeking support from the community to help furnish units at Bessie Coleman Court so that women and children have homes to move in to. The following is a list of items we need to furnish our units. Items should be new or used but in very good condition. Individuals and organizations wishing to furnish rooms or units should contact our administrative office at (510) 357-0205 ext. 107 and leave a detailed message about what you'd like to contribute.
