1986 San Leandro Emergency Shelter Opened first shelter in San Leandro Limited
1988 San Leandro Emergency Shelter Renovated to expand capacity 30 beds
1994 San Leandro Emergency Shelter Began 24 hour a day services 30 beds + services
1996 Sister Me Home Safe House Opened first safe house in San Leandro 9 beds
1996 Bessie Coleman Court Awarded no-cost lease 52 housing units
10/98 Bessie Coleman Court Started capital campaign   
6/2000 Sister Me Home Safe House Expanded bed capacity 20 beds cap
10/2000 Launched 24-hour toll-free crisis line
9/2000 Adopted new organization name
1/2001 Midway Homeless Shelter Took over management of and reopened Alameda's only homeless shelter 25 beds
7/ 2001 Bessie Coleman Court Break ground 52 housing units
3/2002 Bessie Coleman Court Opened doors 52 housing units
6/2003-2008 Built to Last 15th Anniversary Dinner
