Get your Domestic Violence Counselor Certification!!

DV training is offered to individuals from other agencies and individuals, age 18 and up, who are interested in volunteering for BFWC's Crisis Line. BFWC offers training in order to educate the community about domestic violence and to help break the cycle of violence.

The 40 hour certification training will cover:

• counseling skills
• dynamics of domestic abuse
• restraining orders/ legal services
• teen battering
• working with police
• rape
• suicide
• effects on children
• elder abuse
• special needs populations
• same sex dating violence
• preventing burnout

We offer several training sessions per year.
